Against the backdrop of globalization, it is particularly important for higher education institutions to offer internationalization courses to broaden the international horizons of teachers and students. Guangxi Modern Polytechnic College has always been committed to promoting the internationalization of high-level education, in response to the strategic deployment of the national "Belt and Road" construction, and enhancing the international influence of the college. From June to July 2023, the College organized the "International Cultural Exchange" activity, attracting more than 800 participants from ASEAN and Central and Eastern European countries. This training involves 4 faculties, with a total of 7 training sessions, covering industrial automation, metallurgical technology, drones, early childhood education, and other aspects.

Joint training in industrial automation

On June 26-27, Associate Professor LIAO Qiongzhang from the School of Mechatronic Engineering conducted a joint training on the theme of industrial automation with two professors from Universitas PGRI Semarang, Indonesia. A total of 260 students from Universitas PGRI Semarang, Indonesia, and other ASEAN countries participated in the 2 joint trainings. In this joint training, A.P LIAO systematically explained the working principles and engineering applications of PLC control systems and RAPID programming languages, to help the trainees have a comprehensive understanding of the core technical elements in industrial automation. Through this training, the Indonesian trainees can have an overall and solid understanding of PLC control and RAPID programming language, which can lay a foundation for their future study and work in the direction of automation. This joint lecture not only enhances the strength of our faculty but also strengthens the exchange and cooperation with Indonesian institutions.
