In the year 2020, China-ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP) was commenced by Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED). With the support of various academic partner institutions and educational departments, CATECP has been growing progressively and increasing influences in the Southeast Asia region.

CATECP laid remarkable emphasis finding the sustainable human resource solution for the society in coherence with the mission of SEAMEO 7 Priorities and ASEAN 2025 Vision through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). As of today, CATECP is still reaching out achievements in stepping up the potential of technical education for the youth as well as for lifelong learning.
