On November 25th, the CATECP platform marked a significant moment in advancing regional educational cooperation. Dr. Songheang Ai, Director of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED), along with the Go Study team, visited the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) in Thailand. This visit aimed to deepen collaboration in vocational education and explore new opportunities for development in Southeast Asia.
As a key project initiated by SEAMEO TED, the CATECP platform’s vision and achievements were detailed to OVEC by Dr. Songheang Ai. Since its inception, CATECP has been committed to sharing high-quality educational resources and collaborating on forward-looking strategies to strengthen vocational education cooperation in Southeast Asia. The platform has successfully enabled over 300 free online courses across 40 professional fields in more than 50 Chinese higher education institutions, providing Southeast Asian students with diverse learning resources and a broad platform.
Representatives from OVEC showed great interest in the CATECP platform, fully recognizing its value in promoting vocational education cooperation and unanimously believing that it will drive reform and development in vocational education in Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region.
This visit signifies an important step for CATECP in regional vocational education cooperation. As a pivotal platform in the field of Southeast Asian vocational education, CATECP looks forward to contributing to higher levels of regional educational cooperation through more innovation and practice in the future.
