CATECP Showcases New Achievements in Educational Cooperation at the 47th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting

On November 27, 2024, at the 47th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand, the China-ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP) — a key project led by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and spearheaded by the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED) — presented its latest achievements and future plans in the field of educational cooperation to senior officials and international partners through its strategic partner Go Study.

The meeting focused on educational cooperation, innovation, and regional education, aiming to strengthen cooperation among SEAMEO member countries and partners. It brought together senior officials from SEAMEO’s 11 member countries, official representatives from SEAMEO’s 9 affiliate member countries, and several international partners of SEAMEO.

During the conference, CATECP’s booth attracted much attention: it has established cooperative relations with over 2,000 institutions in 11 Southeast Asian countries, offers 285 courses covering 38 professional fields, holds more than 110 training activities annually, has over 24,000 registered users, and attracts more than 198,000 page views per year. Through poster displays and live explanations, CATECP detailed its operational model, course content, partner institutions, and future development plans to the representatives, who gained a deep understanding of CATECP’s innovative achievements in technical education and actively explored the potential for cooperation in promoting regional educational cooperation and skill enhancement.

With a firm commitment to promoting technical education cooperation and fostering student innovation and development, CATECP is dedicated to deepening cooperation with international educational institutions and colleges, especially in the efficient sharing of technical educational resources, precise alignment of internship and training programs, and comprehensive enhancement of students’ vocational skills. It is hoped that through these cooperative measures, more outstanding talents with an international perspective and proficient professional skills will be cultivated.
