General Introduction
As a general course, Teahouse Culture propagates Chinese tea culture as the jumping-off point. The course is designed into three modules: the imparted and inherited culture of teahouses, the regional culture of teahouses and the architectural culture of teahouses, which motivate learners to understand teahouse culture, master the design method of teahouses, improve their ability to artistically appreciate teahouses and promote Chinese tea culture to be imparted, inherited and innovated.
Candidates who have completed the course and passed the examination should be able to accurately describe the developmental history of teahouse culture, tell the stories of Lao She Teahouse, Lu Yu Teahouse, distinguish between the features of different teahouses and summarize the similarities and differences between teahouse culture in different areas. While mastering the three mainstream decorative styles, spacial design methods and furnishing methods of teahouses, candidates should be equipped with higher level of ability to artistically innovate and appreciate.

Teahouse Culture targets students, teachers, enterprise users and public learners, aiming to pass on the essential Chinese tea culture, enhance humanity qualities and cultivate talents for imparting and inheriting teahouse culture and talents in tea space design.

Through the learning of Teahouse Culture, the goals of enriching learners’ knowledge and fostering their ability and qualities are met. Learners’ ability to appreciate artistically and humanity qualities will also be improved. Learners will understand the changing history of teahouses and stories of old teahouses, including features of contemporary teahouses and decorative styles, and be able to analyze and summarize the similarities and differences between teahouse culture in different areas. The course will help students to finish the spacial design and furnishing of teahouses.
